Tokyo in Tulsa Weapons Policy

All weapons must be checked by a Convention Safety Staff member. Signs will inform the convention guest where to find the safety staff.

Prop Weapons may be carried during the convention, providing that you comply with the following restrictions. Prop Weapons are homemade or commercial costume props that support the overall look of the character or costume. Again we will have our safety staff stationed at the safety desk to inspect any Prop Weapon or other weapons you may have questions about.

Any prop that looks like a gun MUST have an orange tip. This applies to ALL types of guns from Sci-Fi to Modern.

Prohibited carry items include, but are not limited to:

• YAOI Paddles
• Live steel
• Firearms
• Devices that emit fire
• Devices that shoot projectiles – including water
• Devices that generate smoke or confetti
• Devices that emit excessive noise or light

Please, remember that Police and Convention Staff will treat anything that looks like a real weapon like a real weapon.

Tokyo in Tulsa reserves the right to check any and all weapons or equipment or require that weapons or equipment be removed from the convention area.

Disruptive behavior is frowned upon and includes, but is not limited to:

• Fighting (real or fake)
• Heckling; blocking hallways or walkways
• Throwing or brandishing weapons, props, or other items
• Offensive behavior
• Sleeping or camping in the convention area or public hotel area
• Loitering on the elevator (elevator parties)
• Public intoxication (real or fake)
• Failure to observe basic hygiene practices
• Failure to adhere to the posted weapons policy or specific event rules

Large props such as wings and staffs must not be hazardous or disruptive to attendees, especially in the hallways.

You must wear your convention badge and wrist band at all times to be admitted to any convention event or area. A badge/wrist band does not guarantee entry to an event or autographs at any event. The convention is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen badges and/or wrist band and will not issue refunds for any badge. Official State Issued Identification may be required for entrance into age-restricted events and must be provided in addition to the issued convention badge upon request.

If you buy a weapon from the dealers room, you MUST keep it in the box. To minimize theft, damage, and space requirements, the weapon should be placed it in your hotel room/vehicle or otherwise away from active convention areas as soon as possible.
