MAIN STAGE COSPLAY CONTEST
|
- Eligibility: Anyone ages six (6) and up may enter in the [MAIN COSPLAY] event. Entrants ages six to thirteen (6-13) must have their parents' permission to enroll, and they MUST be accompanied by a legal guardian or relative of age. Children below the age of six (6) CANNOT enter cosplay on their own, but they can be considered a "prop" in a performance.
- Costume Guidelines: No costume is NO COSTUME. If the outfit can be mistaken for every day wear, it cannot be entered into the contest alone. However, it can be entered with a group.
- Costumes must cover at least as much area as a bikini--NO EXCEPTIONS. This is a family friendly event. Thongs are not allowed unless covered by skirts/shorts or capes.
- If you did not make your costume, do not enter it in the contest. For example, do not enter a store-bought costume; we WILL notice.
- Reference material is required in order to judge fairly. Please bring a clear photo of your character for the judges to compare to your cosplay.
- Due to time constraints, there will be NO SKITS. A separate two hour block, Whose Cosplay Is It Anyway?, will be set aside for skits.
- The divisions are as follows: singles and groups. Groups may only have five people on stage at one time as a safety precaution. More people may be entered as part of the group, but only five at a time on stage.
- There will be three prizes (first, second, and third) for each division of the main cosplay contest. There will also be a special category, "Judge Favorites", in order to keep the judges from simply choosing their favorite cosplays instead of one that may deserve placement a bit more.
