Hall Cosplay Contest
HALL COSPLAY CONTEST
1. Eligibility: Anyone ages six (6) and up may enter in the [HALL COSPLAY] event. Entrants ages six to thirteen (6-13) must have their parents’ permission to enroll, and they MUST be accompanied by a legal guardian or relative of age. Children below the age of six (6) CANNOT enter cosplay on their own, but they can be considered a “prop” in a performance.
2. Costume Guidelines:
- No costume is NO COSTUME. If the outfit can be mistaken for every day wear (L from Death Note or Brock from Pokemon, for example), it may not be entered into the contest alone. However, it may be entered with a group.
- Costumes must cover at least as much area as a bikini–NO EXCEPTIONS. This is a family friendly event. Thongs are not allowed unless covered by skirts/shorts or capes.
- If you did not make your costume, DO NOT enter it in the contest. For example, do not enter a store-bought costume; we WILL notice.
- If someone (such as a mother or father) helped to make a large portion of your outfit, please give them credit on the entry form.
3. Reference material is required in order to judge fairly. Please bring a clear photo (or several clear photos) of your character for the judges to compare to your cosplay. It is likely the judges will not know of every single character and their respective costumes that are entered. This will make things run more efficiently.
4. Multiple photos will be taken of the outfit(s) being entered into the [HALL COSPLAY] contest, and each entrant will have a short interview with the judges that will help along the final decision on placement in the contest.
5. The divisions are as follows: singles and groups.
6. There will be prizes for each division (individual and group) of the [HALL COSPLAY] contest. There will also be a special category, “Judge Favorites”. **
7. Winners for the [HALL COSPLAY] event will be announced alongside the winners of the [MAIN COSPLAY] event after the [MAIN COSPLAY] event has ended. A list of the winners for both contests will also be posted in the forums.
*Please note that these rules are subject to change at any time before Tokyo in Tulsa 2009.
