RK Milholland
(SomethingPositive.net)

About Something*Positive:
Something*Positive is the story of a few friends – namely Davan, Aubrey, PeeJee, and Jason – and their daily lifes, struggles, and the occasional mass catgirl cataclysm. The story began in Boston in 2001. Since then, it’s expanded to Texas, California, and a few other nightmares along the way.

These are people you know, although you may not admit it. It’s just a comic about trying to live you life and bringing a few friends with you so you don’t kill anyone. At least, not anyone you might get in trouble for.

About the guy who drew it:
rkmilholland is probably napping right now. Sometimes, at night, he dons little shoes with curled toes and a little hat and secretly aids overworked cobblers. Then he uses their stores to launder money. He also grew up in a little patch of suburban sprawl between Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas. Under a full moon he sometimes transforms into a meerkat.

Kent Williams

Kent is a veteran voice and screen actor. Seriously, this guy was in Wargames and Time After Time! He was on Mike Hammer! MacGyver! Quantum Leap!
Oh, you want the anime list? Well, it starts with some Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z work, Lupin III, Case Closed, Fruits Basket, Kiddy Grade, Fullmetal Alchemist … the list goes on!
He’s probably most recognizable as Supreme Kai from Dragon Ball Z, the Narrator of Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files, Dr. Ryogoku from Speed Grapher or Sid Barrett from Soul Eater. He’s also busy working on a lot of new projects that we’ll hear more about at the convention!

Amelie Belcher

Amelie Belcher

Amelie “Ami-Chan” Belcher was born in Baton-Bloody-Boring-Rouge Louisiana where the combination of chemical plant fumes and river water did major damage to her fragile little mind at an early age. By all accounts, she started

drawing at the age of five (when she figured out that the pencil goes on the paper and not up your nose) and didn’t stop drawing until she ran out of paper…twenty years later. Amelie taught high school art for four years, but lost interest in teaching when it started cutting into her drinking time. She now travels the country selling her award winning art, doing one of a kind commissions for con goers, giving the best damn panels on earth, and being paid tribute to by her army of fans known as the “Ami Army” in the form of Pocky and manga. Known as “the angriest chick on the net”, she is the creator of the popular web comic “The Real Life Adventures of Amelie” at Cordeval.com which is read by desperately bored people all around the world.

For Tokyo in Tulsa this year, Sensei Coglan and his demo team will be performing a stage show featuring Kenjutsu, Aikibujutsu and Aikido. Several panels will also be offered.

Best 4v4 Halo 3 Team in the state of Oklahoma

THE OKLAHOMIES

The Oklahomies are made up of 4 of Oklahoma’s most dominating Halo 3 Players:
DrViper – Jon Bearrow
G Wade – Grant Wade
DrWalter – Kale Littlefield
Hummp – Drew Grimes

Since Halo 3 came out, the Oklahomies have a near spotless record in Oklahoma – winning almost every 4v4 tournament they’ve attended in Oklahoma.  At a recent MLG event they attended they reached 7th Round losers.  Dr Viper was also Oklahoma’s representative for the Gamestop 1v1 Halo ODST Tournament in NYC, where he made top 16.

In the case they would need alternates at this event, Twitch & BigRed would be who takes up the slack.  Team pictured with coach “Th3 R3ligion”, Matt Kendall on left.

Jenny Pennington & Beauty Thibodeau

Jenny has been cosplaying since A-kon 13 (2002) when she wore the Rabi~en~Rose costume her college room mate helped her sew. In school, she helped out at the school costume shop but never really got any formal training. Instead she picked up skills here and there and became fairly proficient in the art of “winging it” for the sake of cosplay. This has led to all sorts of adventures, from many pairs of massive wings all the way down to dressing up like a giant banana. Generally props and jewelry are her favorite things to make and she loves a good challenge. In the real world she works in a cube loading hotel information onto the internet, but secretly dreams of running away to follow Muse on tour. No seriously, have you SEEN them in concert?!?! She loves food more than anything, even Muse, and would be perfectly content to travel the world trying delicious things.

First and for most, Beauty is a girl, and yes, that is her real name. Beauty Thibodeau’s first foray into cosplay went a little something like this: Friend: “Hey Beauty, there’s this thing up in Dallas called A-kon where you can dress up as  your favorite anime characters, and I’m going this year would you like to-” Beauty: “OMFGSTFBBQPONY YES!” And so A-kon 16, Beauty’r all knowing and gracious mother makes her a Tsunade costume. And all was right with the world. Spring 2006 Beauty made her first costume all by her lonesome, Hinako Shijou from KOF, and thus began her torrid love affair with stupidly unrealistic wigs. (Speaking of head accoutrement, Beauty also likes silly hats and making things that should not be hats into hats.) Beauty’s other areas of interest are makeup, fabric painting and dyeing, resin casting and distressing. No one makes something hideously dirty like Beauty. This spring Beauty will be graduating from the University of Texas, Austin with a degree in Theater and Dance and a focus on wigs, hair and makeup. Outside of cosplay Beauty enjoys waggling her eyebrows at strangers, talking about MUSE and rambling. Used in a sentence these three faux hobbies would look like: All last week Beauty rambled endlessly to strangers about how awesome MUSE is while emphatically waggling her eyebrows. Btw, if you hadn’t noticed, Beauty also enjoys being absolutely redonculous.

AshuraCastle

AshuraCastle was sucked into the cosplay universe in 2002. She challenges herself to make each new costume more beautiful, more outlandish and MORE SPARKLY! In addition to having made around 30 costumes, she has also made props such as weapons, giant wooden shoes, wings, crowns, hats and wigs of insanity. AshuraCastle spent a year living and working in Tokyo, Japan, and when not running around Harajuku like a fashion maniac, she spent her free days traveling to Korea, China and all over Japan! She can’t wait to share her cosplay and travel experiences at Tokyo in Tulsa!
